    Terms of Service

    1. Agreement to Terms

    By accessing or using ChainHint ("the Service"), operated at chainhint.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "We", "us", and "our" refer to ChainHint and its operator. "You" and "your" refer to the user.

    2. Service Description

    ChainHint is a blockchain analytics platform that provides cryptocurrency fund tracing, entity identification, wallet reputation scoring, and AI-generated incident reports. The Service aggregates and presents publicly available blockchain data and third-party API data for informational purposes only.

    3. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old to use ChainHint. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

    4. Account Registration

    You may register via email, Google OAuth, or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

    5. Disclaimers — READ CAREFULLY

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

    Specifically, and without limitation:

    • Not legal advice. Nothing on ChainHint constitutes legal, forensic, financial, tax, or investment advice. Outputs are not admissible as forensic evidence unless independently verified by a qualified professional.
    • Not financial advice. We do not recommend, endorse, or advise any financial decisions based on the data presented.
    • No accuracy guarantee. All entity labels, risk scores, sanctions flags, and fund flow data are sourced from third-party APIs (Moralis, Etherscan, GoPlus, Chainalysis, DeFiLlama, CoinGecko, and others). These labels may be incorrect, outdated, or incomplete. We make no representation whatsoever regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any data displayed.
    • AI-generated reports. Reports generated by our AI system (powered by Anthropic Claude) are automated summaries of blockchain data. They may contain errors, hallucinations, or misinterpretations. You must independently verify all AI outputs before relying on them.
    • No guarantee of recovery. Using ChainHint does not guarantee the recovery of any stolen or lost cryptocurrency.

    6. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CHAINHINT, ITS OPERATOR, AFFILIATES, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, FUNDS, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, GOODWILL, OR CRYPTOCURRENCY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

    Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees you have actually paid to ChainHint in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise).

    7. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ChainHint and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; (d) any content you submit or publish through the Service; or (e) any actions you take based on data or reports obtained from ChainHint.

    8. Subscription Plans and Pricing

    ChainHint offers three plans:

    • Free ($0) — limited functionality.
    • Investigator ($79/month) — expanded investigation limits.
    • Agency ($499/month) — full access including API.

    Prices are denominated in USD and are subject to change with 30 days' notice. Plan limits (incidents, monitored addresses) are enforced automatically. Upon subscription expiry, your account will be downgraded to the Free tier.

    9. Payments and Refunds

    All payments are processed in cryptocurrency via NOWPayments. We do not accept fiat currency or credit cards. All sales are final. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances. You bear all exchange-rate risk between the time of payment initiation and settlement. We are not responsible for failed, delayed, or underpaid transactions due to network congestion, wallet errors, or exchange-rate fluctuations. Payment confirmations depend on blockchain settlement times, which vary by network.

    10. API Usage (Agency Plan)

    API access is available exclusively to Agency plan subscribers. You may use the API for internal business purposes only. Resale, sublicensing, or redistribution of API data is prohibited. We reserve the right to impose and modify rate limits at any time. Excessive or abusive API usage may result in throttling or termination.

    11. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
    • Submit false, misleading, or defamatory information in investigations or reports.
    • Harass, threaten, or defame any individual or entity based on ChainHint data.
    • Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service except through the official API.
    • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to ChainHint systems.
    • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent plan limits, authentication, or access controls.
    • Use the Service to facilitate money laundering, terrorism financing, or sanctions evasion.
    • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute any data or outputs without written consent.

    12. Public Investigations

    You may make investigations publicly accessible via the share feature. By doing so, you acknowledge that the investigation graph, entity labels, and AI report will be viewable by anyone with the link. You are solely responsible for the content you make public and any consequences thereof. We reserve the right to remove public investigations that violate these Terms.

    13. Intellectual Property

    The Service, including its software, UI, design, algorithms, and documentation, is the intellectual property of ChainHint and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the wallet addresses and investigation data you submit. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your submitted data for the purpose of providing the Service.

    14. Account Termination

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We are not liable for any loss of data resulting from account termination. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

    15. No Uptime Guarantee

    We do not guarantee any specific level of availability, uptime, or performance. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by service downtime or unavailability.

    16. Force Majeure

    We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: blockchain network congestion or failure, third-party API outages or changes, natural disasters, government actions, cyberattacks, internet disruptions, power failures, or pandemic-related restrictions.

    17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

    18. Dispute Resolution

    Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by using the contact form. If the dispute is not resolved within 60 days, either party may submit it to the competent courts of Ukraine. Proceedings may be conducted in English or Ukrainian. You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding against ChainHint.

    19. Severability

    If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

    20. Changes to These Terms

    We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before the effective date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

    21. Entire Agreement

    These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ChainHint regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
